More school projects being planned

The session in June with the Top Class from St. James Primary School was enjoyed by everyone and a few days later they visited one of the Banqueting Houses to recreate the dessert course, complete with musical accompaniment, ‘Greensleeves’ on guitars. The sweetmeats that they had made in school were a little the worse for wear, but we offered biscuits from an original recipe. The plastic water bottles were a colourful substitute for glasses of wine!  More projects for the schools are being developed – on Sir Baptist Hicks as a benefactor to the town, the water supply to his new mansion and gardens and the fashion of the times.
