Oxford University Dept. of Continuing Education

I’ve signed up to do a 10 week online course ‘Investigating the Elizabethans’ to help me with my Baptist Hicks research.  Went to an Open Day at the Department on Friday for some very interesting lectures – none of them to do with Elizabethan life!  But they were just tasters and were very good.  They have some excellent courses on offer such as ‘Photographing Archaeological Objects for Record and Publication’; Wonders and Marvels: Water, the Intellect and Science in the 17th century British Garden’ and, particularly, ‘House and Home: Researching Tudor and Stuart Homes’.  They don’t exactly go for snappy titles though, do they?!
